Guidance Mission Statement

The mission of Gregg Middle School’s Guidance Department is to help all students learn to learn, learn to live and learn to work to their fullest potential.

 

 


 

 

How to Enroll your New GMS Student

1.   Bring with you

a.   Proof of Residency (current utility bill and an additional document verifying that address)

b.  Last report card and/or withdrawal paperwork

c.   Valid SC Certificate of Immunization

d.  Student’s birth certificate

Registration fee of $20.00
 


 
                  Prospective GMS students        

If you would like a tour of the school prior to enrolling, we would be more than happy to show you and your student around.  Please call 821-3910 to set up an appointment.


 

                    
                         How to Withdraw
 

1.   A parent/guardian MUST come to the school to sign withdrawal paperwork prior to the students leaving.

    2.   Students must turn in all textbooks and pay any fines.

 


                    
                    
Change of Address
If you move during the school year, please notify guidance and bring or send with your student a copy of your current utility bill with your new service address.
 


     
                 

      
 
     
  Important Dates  
   

October Guidance Happenings!

As part of Duke TIP, qualifying seventh grade students will take a practice version of the SAT on Friday, October 10th.  If you plan for your student to take the SAT in January, you can register online, or call Mrs. Gillens for information.

Ms. Smith will give the PSAT to qualifying eighth grade students on Wednesday, October 15th.  Feel free to call her with any questions!

Mrs. Wilson will be in the computer lab the last week of October with eighth grade students for career exploration through SCOIS.

******************************************

Parents of sixth grade students will receive by mail an appointment day and time for upcoming Individual Learning Conferences (ILP).  Please call Ms. Smith if the appointment time you received needs to be changed.  In these conferences, grades, goals and middle school success strategies will be discussed!
